Is the bowling alley kid friendly? Or, if no does anybody have a line on a babysitter?

How did I manage to never hear "It's Raining Men" when it was on the charts?
For your cheesy entertainment viewing pleasure, when MTV was young (and still watchable), here is the Weather Girls' video:
And for those of you who do touch politics, here's the song's latest incarnation in, "It's Raining McCain":Beth

Who's coming so far????
Shari and other organizers of this momentous event,
Who has committed already? I think many of us would like to know who is planning on attending (if it is not too much to ask) and I have not sent mine in yet (sorry). Also, who responded with a definite can't make it. I am the kind of person who wanted to know the gender of each of my kids and so you can see why I would like to know ahead of time who might or might not be there. Please, if you can. I am sure others are as interested as I am:)
I have been off of the internet since the first week of June but now I am back on. It was fun catching up. I wish more of us old timers were taking the plunge and responding to the blogging thing.
I was in Chetek for the 4th and ran into Barb (G.). I also saw Beth's husband and sister but not Beth:( --at Art in the Park.
Does anyone know where Nancy Hinkle ended up? She left school at 16 and got married. She would be another one of the crowd who was with us for most of our school years but not there at the end. Just wondering about her.
To Carol,
The irony of life is such that now I am allergic to all makeup except mascara. With each pregnancy, my skin became more sensitive, and I gave up makeup by the 3rd child. It is at first humbling (think you couldn't possibly leave the house without it) and ... later comes a feeling of freedom when you realize you don't really need it, and the world won't stop if you don't have your face on. In fact, my boys are rather critical of females who are obviously made up. They just don't get the whole makeup thing!
I've probably blabbed enough. Last thought... still looking for something to do with anyone who is interested during the day of the 9th or 10th.

Hey, I am a first-time blogger also. It has been fun reading all the blogs and seeing the pictures. I will not be able to attend the reunion on the 9th as we will be out of town. Here's alittle about me...
I recently moved out of Chetek to live in Knapp, Wisconsin with my fiance. Yep, I am getting married (Sept 20. 2008)to a wonderful man (yea there is such a thing as a perfect man), it just took me almost a 1/2 a century to find him. We have known eachother for 4 years now. His name is Chad Hintz and he is 38 (yeah, I am robbing the cradle). He has 2 kids, a stepdaughter that is 21, a son that is 15 and a grandson that is about 3. I have 2 kids as well... Randy is 27 and currently serving in Qatar in the Army. He is married and has 3 kids. Yosie 8, Alexis 6, and Hannah almost 3. Then I have a daughter Danielle (14) who is going to be a sophmore starting in Menomonie this fall.
I hope you all have fun at the reunion and I am going to miss seeing you all. We have a family thing going on that weekend of every year. Maybe I will pop in just to say hi if I can get away.
Take care and hope all is well for everyone.

Hey, everyone,
First time blogger and darned glad to be here. Thanks to the reunion organizers! I, like probably many of you putter-offers, have yet to send in my rsvp and money. Can we still do so? I believe Peggy and I will be able to make it. Yes, Peggy is still tolerating me (don't know why, though).
Anyway, it's about to rain, thank goodness, and I have to roll up some windows in the car. Looking forward to seeying ya's and hope all is well! See ya, Dan

This image is acutally compliments of Janet. Janet had sent me this in an e-mail and I was totally shocked. I was, however, glad that I was not in the picture. Sure enough, one surfaces with my mug in it. Darn. Anyway, just another shot of the group. I think Randy had a beer in his hand. And I think Nancy has a cocktail....hummmm.

Hello Everyone!
Here is a picture from 1st grade. My 15 year old daughter Megan brought this home from school one day. It was given to her by her gym teacher (aka Bart Olson). Bart is in the second row from the top, third guy in, with his striped shirt. I am in the fourth row from the top, far right, in my striped shirt. We were a great looking bunch!

Greetings to Class of "83"
Hi Everyone,
After reading most of the posts, I must say this blogging is a first for most of us. My boys will be so impressed I learned how to blog and text in the same week. Kewl...does anyone say that anymore?
Thanks goes out to Mary & Company for all their hard work putting together the reunion and the blog. Great Job!
I get to Chetek about once a month to see my folks, and every once in awhile I see one of my old classmates. My mom, who works at the library, keeps me well informed on the happenings.
I live in Hastings MN with my husband Holt, 17 year old son Ryan, and 4 Labs. Our 22 old son lives in California, and our 26 year old son and wife live in Idaho. I work as a Human Resource Director for a Manufacturing Facility in Hastings. Life is good!
I can't wait to see everyone on Aug 9th at the Bowling Alley. Lisa, your children are beautiful. I'm sure you've heard this a hundred times, but your daughter looks just like you. Maybe we can squeeze in a 9-pin tourney, before or after, Andrea's wedding.
Hope to see and hear from everyone very soon.

Hello 1983! Any way we can turn back the clock? Another senior skip day at Mary's would be fine with me! I got back to Chetek this past Fri/Sat to go fishing with my Bro, Kevin. Saw many familiar faces including Mike Bossany, Jerry Hurtis, Larry Duetch to name a few. I even saw CHUCKY. He looked great!!
Look forward to seeing everyone soon.

Greetings Class of 1983!
Welcome to our class blog! We've created this space to keep you informed about our upcoming 25 year class reunion on Saturday, August 9, 2008. Can't believe it's been 25 years? Use this space to keep in touch with classmates, post photos or plan reunion side events (e.g., golf outing, river float, fun run). We're looking forward to seeing everyone and learning what you've been up to since our last reunion.
